What we provide...

The House of Ecclesiastes is a haven for those left behind after a spouse or loved one is incarcerated. Our mission is to offer a supportive, Christian environment, where women can rebuild their lives and strengthen their families. We will provide the following provisions:

-
Temporary Housing: Up to 1 year of safe, stable housing.
-
Clothing and Food: Donated clothing and meals to meet the immediate needs of residents.
-
Eligibility: Women will be selected if they have a spouse or loved one incarcerated in the Texas Department of Criminal Justice, and must be either legally married or an immediate family member.
-
Affordable Fees: Residents will pay a small fee after securing employment.
-
Work Requirements: Those without a job will be required to contribute to the household through work at The House of Ecclesiastes, volunteer efforts, or community service.
-
Christian Clean Lifestyle: We are committed to fostering a clean, Christian environment, helping residents become a strong support system for their incarcerated loved one.
Many women with incarcerated spouses or loved ones face financial challenges that prevent them from visiting or offering the support that their loved one needs. Studies show that 65% of individuals will re-offend without a solid support system. By offering a stable, Christian environment, The House of Ecclesiastes provides a foundation for these women to live a crime-free life, maintain steady employment, and set an example for their loved ones on the inside. Seeing their loved ones make positive changes from the outside can inspire hope and transformation for both parties.
God has shown me that many women are left to fend for themselves, often without knowing a life beyond crime and hardship. This house will help them understand that there is another way—a life of hope, redemption, and faith. With a helping hand and God’s guidance, we can make a difference. There is an undeniable need for a house like The House of Ecclesiastes, and we are proud to be creating something truly unique— a one-of-a-kind refuge for women in need.
